William Chalk joins Howes Percival’s expanding Private Client Team
Solicitor William Chalk has joined the expanding Private Client Team at Howes Percival LLP in the East Midlands, working from the firm’s Leicester and Northampton offices.
His arrival follows that of Justine Flack in May; both are part of the new Family Law and Private Client Team established in April 2010 with the arrival of nationally renowned lawyer Jane Cowley as Family Law Partner and Head of the East Midlands Private Client Group.
William joins from the private client team at BP Collins Solicitors in Gerrards Cross. His previous firms include Hewitsons and Henmans. William has extensive experience of advising clients on their estate planning, including issues concerning wills, trusts, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, estate administration and powers of attorney.
William is a member of the Law Society's Probate Section and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Business Families Special Interest Group. William is also in the process of completing the STEP Diploma (Trusts and Estates).

Howes Percival is on track to triple to 15 the size of its Private Client Group in the 12 months since Jane Cowley’s arrival in April.

The expertise of the Family Law and Private Client Team includes matters relating to wealth management, family businesses, trusts, offshore financial structures, farming businesses, property-related issues and pension arrangements. Highly skilled in their work with individuals and families, the team also advises on a wide range of relationship and family concerns, including child residency and support, other dependents, divorce, and pre and post nuptial arrangements.
