Howes Percival and Relate launch family law helpline
Leicestershire people who turn to Relate when their marriages are in trouble can now call a free telephone helpline and talk to Howes Percival's Family Law team. It’s the first time Relate Leicestershire has teamed up with a Leicester law firm to offer such a service.
The helpline provides a free 15 minute call where a member of Howes Percival’s family law team is able to advise on a wide range of relationship and family concerns which may require specialist legal advice. If the family lawyer is unable to assist directly with a particular issue, they will point the service user in the direction of somebody who can. The helpline service begins in July.
The lawyers taking part in the scheme are Jane Cowley, Head of the Family Law and East Midlands Private Client Teams, and Justine Flack, Family Lawyer.
Jane Cowley said: “I have worked with Relate for a number of years and fully support the work they carry out and have had many clients who have truly valued the support they've received from Relate during difficult times.”
Lynn Pallet, from Relate Leicestershire, said: “Many Relate clients are troubled by family issues around divorce, separation and children. This dedicated legal helpline will provide advice for clients without delay and I am sure guide people towards finding solutions and support when they need it most".
Relate is the country’s largest provider of relationship support. They help 150,000 people of all ages every year at a national network of 77 Centres based at 600 locations, as well as by phone, online and via SMS text.
