What is the selection process ?
Assessment centre involving interviews, a presentation, a numeracy test and a commercial test
When do assessments take place ?
Generally in the last week of August
When do we find out if we’ve been successful ?
We aim to inform you either the same day as the assessment or the day after
How many seats do I have to undertake ?
4 x 6 month seats
Where will the seats be ?
The seats will either be in company commercial, commercial property, commercial litigation, employment or tax and private client. If you are in Norwich there may also be a seat in property and estates which covers real estate and private client work.
What is the salary ?
As of September 2009: East Midlands First Year - £24,500 East Midlands Second Year - £26,500 Qualification - £38,500 Norwich First Year - £22,000 Norwich Second Year - £23,000 Qualification - £33,500

What areas of law does the firm specialise in ?
The Legal 500 recognises us as prominent players in corporate law, commercial litigation, commercial property and employment. We also have specialist teams in planning, tax, IT and telecoms, property litigation, international arbitration, insolvency, landed estates and personal injury.
Does it matter where I do my LPC ?
No
Should I take any specific electives ?
No – at this stage we would prefer you to take the electives that you are going to enjoy the most
Can I apply if I need a work permit ?
Yes

No
Which law fairs is the firm attending ?
Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham, Leicester, Warwick and UEA.
What social events does the firm organise for trainees ?
We have an annual summer party for current and future trainees which particularly gives future trainees an opportunity to get to know those people they will be working with. There is also an annual ball for young solicitors in the area that all trainees can attend. We also have a firm-wide AGM every year, plus regional Christmas parties.
