Howes Percival and premature baby mums hit the catwalk for ADAPT
Five Leicestershire mums who were helped by ADAPT when their babies were born prematurely took to the catwalk alongside seven lawyers from the Leicester office of Howes Percival LLP to raise money for the local charity. The lawyers and mums donned John Lewis’s summer fashions for the show which was held at Leicester Tigers on Thursday May 13. Make-up was supplied by Clarins, while a team of stylists from George’s Hairdressing in Leicester prepared the models' hair. Jewellery was supplied by local business BettyDaisy.
The fashion show was organised by two Howes Percival solicitors; Jenna Bruce and Richard Tomlinson. Jenna said: “It was a great event, which raised much-needed money for ADAPT’s highly valued work in supporting the parents and families of premature babies.” Sue Williams, ADAPT’s Development Co-ordinator, said: “We were all very excited about the fashion show, and the mums taking part all looked forward to being models for the evening. Our thanks go to Howes Percival for organising the event.”
Chaz Kotecha, Marketing and Community Liaison Co-ordinator at John Lewis Leicester, said of the fashion show: “We are proud to support ADAPT and Howes Percival to raise funds for this local charity which is helping families in Leicester with support, through what can be a difficult time.”
ADAPT is the Howes Percival Leicester office’s chosen charity to support during 2010. In addition to the fashion show the firm has already raised funds through a quiz night earlier in the year and members of staff are now preparing to join ADAPT in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 19 June.
